July 24, 20:00–21:30. Estação Agronómica Nacional park, Oeiras. A little about me: my name is Seva Rudyy — marine biologist, naturalist, guide and author of a biology blog (telegram link). I live in Lisbon and invite everyone to join biological excursions. This time we'll explore Oeiras' night life — focusing on bats. On the walk we'll meet bats in person — observe nocturnal hunting and listen with a special ultrasonic microphone. We'll learn whether all bats are vampires, where their super-immunity comes from, and what benefits they bring to people. We'll also look for other nocturnal animals from geckos to fireflies. All activities are carried out in a comfortable and safe setting with a professional biologist guide. The outing is suitable for families with children (from ~5–6 years). If a booking is canceled less than 24 hours before the event, full payment is required. Booking and details: link , telegram link

more «nature club» →Although biology is not usually taught as a separate subject in primary school, children are often fascinated by biologists’ stories, learning to observe the microworld through a microscope and to recognize different species of plants and animals, learning secrets about everything. Adding biology elements to walks, activities, and experiments is not only engaging, but also helps spark a lasting interest in the natural sciences.
more «biology» →Places and events where parents and children can spend quality time together — bonding through creative classes, family sports, treasure hunts, camps, and other shared experiences.
more «familytime» →The child is immersed in play, while gradually acquiring new skills or knowledge along the way. This format helps children learn naturally and with interest: they try things out, explore, make mistakes, repeat, and gradually understand the material through their own experience.
more «edutainment» →Be it city or nature walks — with an engaging guide, a scientist, a scavenger hunt, games along the way, or elements of outdoor sketching — hikes and walks are a wonderful way to gradually expand a child's independence. They give children more time outdoors in a free and friendly environment with peers, spark their interest in biology, archaeology, architecture, or hiking, and simply help families spend great time together.
