For children 8–13 and their parents Date: 22.5.2026 (Friday evening of Shavuot — parents can sleep in) Time: 16:00–20:00 Meeting point: Aqueducts Beach, Caesarea What to expect: three aqueducts, a seaside hike on the Israel National Trail, searching for sea treasures, an introduction to the architectural work of Louis IX, theory of Roman road paving, free opportunities to climb on stones and columns, the history of the construction of the great port of Sebastia, a discussion about the naked body in art, Roman tabletop games and huge sarcophagi. We will look for the catena (and learn what it is!) and will most likely get our feet wet passing through ruined walls; we will collect shells for a home collection, photograph sand statues and watch the sunset on the beach (at 19:40). Route: No elevation changes, parts on sand and rocks, total 6 kilometers, suitable for children aged at least 8 who love antiquity and are ready to walk. There will be a break for ice cream and coffee!
