Summer Art Lab “Peresborka” Curators: Liza Skvortsova and Zhenya Kapitski Are you 13–16 years old? Do you like inventing, moving, arguing, laughing, creating new things? Join our experimental creative project “Peresborka”. We will work with stories, images, sounds, rhythm, letters and words, movement and animation. We will explore themes of change, dreams and new possibilities. Creative assignments await: theatrical and visual-art tasks and work with imagination. We will look for what we are ready to let go of and what we want to gain. Each participant will start by working on their own project, and then together we will assemble a performance at the intersection of different arts. Program includes: · acting and body practices; · collage, image work and animation; · experiments with sound, letters and words in Hebrew; · exercises for attention, imagination and creative thinking; · teamwork and creation of personal art projects. Our goals are to spend time interestingly, broaden horizons, develop creative and critical thinking, and increase self-confidence. The course consists of 10 sessions to be held 2–19 July at the DAVAI theatre in Tel Aviv. Classes where children develop acting skills, stage presence, and musical awareness. They explore themselves through games and exercises focused on improvisation, expression, and self-expression, or by working on performance projects. These classes help children reveal their individuality, learn to work as a team, express emotions, control their voice and body, and build confidence and the ability to perform in front of an audience.
more «acting and stage performance» →A mix of drawing, sculpting, collage, model-making, handicrafts, and applied creative techniques — including inventing and making board games or similar projects. Activities can be about the pure joy of exploration and creativity, or about developing fine motor skills, exploring art through practice, learning language, history, and beyond.
more «creative classes» →The focus is on creating animated stories using stop-motion technology, with the use of computer programs, clay, cardboard, and other materials. A field where technology meets artistic development, planning meets creativity.
more «animation» →Preparing a performance: children learn acting, rehearse, and present the show to an audience. These classes develop confidence, diction, memory, and concentration. They also build teamwork skills, encourage emotional expression, and help children feel confident on stage.
