Hooray! Our first Sensory Play group in English has started. During the class we looked for fish in the ocean, created and listened to the sound of waves, found treasures in the sand and made a magic fish. For children it all looks like a game, but in fact we were working on fine motor skills — important for developing dexterity and later preparing the hand for writing. We developed attention and perseverance, also necessary for school, and we tried and experimented to develop critical thinking and creativity skills. The kids left very happy and want to continue the classes! Why in English, you may ask? First, we have non-Russian-speaking children who attend our center. Second, although these classes are not aimed at teaching English as a foreign language, they prove useful: most children for whom English is a foreign language do not need an extensive vocabulary or complex grammar. They need simple phrases to interact with peers and to convey emotions. In Sensory Play they learn to do that. A short video of how it went. Next Wednesday the class is at 17:00. There are 2 spots left in this group. There are also requests from parents of 3-year-old children for a Russian-language group. If you want such a group, write in direct messages 🥰 Sign up without fuss in KiddoDu or in the organizer's direct: https://t.me/BeSmartSerbia

Children participate in play, creativity, or exploration while language is introduced naturally through communication, instructions, phrases, and new words in context. The focus is on engagement and real interaction — whether it’s a walk, crafts, science experiments, a book club, board games, or sports.
