Tel Lachish is a biblical city and national park. The author recently walked the mound with impressive excavations — the site was once taken by Sennacherib and Nebuchadnezzar; much of the mound remains unexcavated. The surroundings are in bloom and photo opportunities are excellent; it’s only about 50 minutes from the center. Summer opening hours: 08:00–17:00 every day (Friday short day until 16:00). 📍 Map: https://maps.app.goo.gl/G6HpjRZHaPG243E39 🌐 Park website: https://share.google/bjCZTqN4RxL929yU8 💰 Entrance fee: 10–22 ILS. Free for Matmon pass holders (RataG subscription). Sign up without fuss in KiddoDu or in the organizer's direct message: https://t.me/walkwitholga
