Nina Dashevska is one of the best-known contemporary Russian writers and also a musician. She previously played violin in musical theatre and toured the country with concerts; now she tours internationally as a writer and holds meetings with readers, children and adults. At this meeting with Nina Dashevska we will talk about contemporary literature for children and teenagers — what is happening, what to read, and which new names to follow. We will discuss work with children — both children’s reading and writing. Nina will also tell about her new books: 🤩 “The Nonexistent Pier” (a conditionally fantastic novella about safety and freedom, 12+), 🤩 “Hear that? Music!” (non-fiction about musical instruments, illustrator Yulia Sidneva, 6+), 🤩 “Petersburg — the City of Gulls” (illustrator Katya Ilyushenko), 🤩 “There Will Be No Winter” (illustrator Ivan Sergeev, the book is being released in Serbian). Some books will be available for purchase at the event and the author will sign autographs. 🗓 30 June (Tuesday) 19:00 🎫 Tickets: from €25 here: (https://fienta.com/ninadashevskaia) 📍 Vojvode Dobrnjca 48, Beograd (https://maps.app.goo.gl/e9z8stFHUZdGM7u88) Register without fuss in KiddoDu or via the organizer's direct: https://t.me/auditoria_beograd

Skills & Interests

book club

Meetings where books are discussed. Such gatherings help spark children’s interest in reading, teach them to notice details and appreciate the depth of a text. Book clubs develop language and thinking skills and offer wonderful opportunities to socialize and find like-minded peers.

storytelling

A creative direction built around stories. Children create plots and characters and learn to tell and experience stories through words, play, drawing, or movement. cultural enrichment

Everything that broadens children’s horizons and helps them understand the world through images, stories, and experiences. This part of the “basic activity balance” helps develop empathy, nourishes imagination, and supports the ability to see things from different perspectives. And of course, it’s also enjoyable shared time — endless opportunities for discussion and exchanging impressions.
