A new museum space has opened at Gonio Fortress. Visitors can immerse themselves in the daily life of Roman legionaries. The exhibition includes a model of the legion commander's room, legionaries' sleeping quarters, an armory, a Roman kitchen, and other domestic rooms. Additionally, as part of the Adjara educational program "Touch history with your hands," a masterclass for schoolchildren on "Georgian ornament" was held. During the lesson, pupils learned about the origin and meaning of Georgian ornament, its connection to nature and traditions, and its application in architecture, mural painting, jewelry, textiles and adornments. After the theory, students went out onto the fortress grounds to create outdoor sketches applying their knowledge.
