Hiking in the Serra D’Aire mountains 🌿 Holiday weekends in Portugal! Where to spend time actively? June 4 and 10 are public holidays in Portugal and schools are closed. To avoid staying at home in front of the TV or in city dust, we offer an easy hike in the Serra D’Aire mountains, about 1.5 hours from Lisbon. June 4, 10:00–15:00. Porto de Mós, Leiria Route: 8–9 km, ascent ~400 m+ A walk along a scenic eco-trail, visit to a secret bat cave, an ancient castle and a lunch stop at an old mill. June 10, 10:00–15:00. Fontes, Leiria Route: 8–9 km, ascent ~400 m+ An easy hike with an ascent to Senhora Do Monte and a picnic stop in the forest at the mountain river source. Encounters with animals possible. Breathe in the mountains — breathe out stress. Price: €30 if you come by your own car or €50 with transfer from Lisbon/Leiria. Picnic included.
