We launch a course dedicated to new media art. We will get acquainted with works by Nam June Paik, Bruce Nauman and Bill Viola, and also learn how surrealist artists experimented with the camera as early as the 1930s. We will experiment ourselves! To take part in our experiments, you need to bring a camera. Any digital option will do — a phone, tablet or camera. And if you have a film camera — bring it too! Course leader and author — Medea Margoshvili, Master of Art History and student at the UdK Berlin Faculty of Architecture. Dates and time: Fridays: 5, 12 and 19 June at 16:30. A mix of drawing, sculpting, collage, model-making, handicrafts, and applied creative techniques — including inventing and making board games or similar projects. Activities can be about the pure joy of exploration and creativity, or about developing fine motor skills, exploring art through practice, learning language, history, and beyond.
