Join a water birdwatching trip on the River Crnojevića. Meeting on Sunday, 3 May at 11:00. The trip leader — ornithologist Viktor Slavgorodsky — will talk about observed birds and show identification features in a field guide to distinguish similar species. If we are lucky, we may see Dalmatian pelicans. You will definitely see coots, reed warblers, mute swans, cormorants, herons, various ducks, terns and gulls. Little stints, geese and many other birds may appear. Water lilies bloom in the river and freshwater turtles are present: the Balkan pond turtle and the European pond turtle. Total trip duration is 2 hours, of which 1.5 hours are in boats. Bring water, a hat and, if possible, binoculars (we have a few to share)! Price is €30 (€15 for participants under 10). Boat rental is included; transfer to the town of Rijeka Crnojevića and the national park ticket (€5 or annual pass; children under 15 free) are not included. We will discuss the meeting point and how to get there in the trip chat!
