Film club for teenagers 13+. Sundays, 14:00–17:00. These are regular meetings where film becomes a way to talk about important topics. How a meeting goes: first a shared screening, then we analyze how the story is built and why the film works, and we discuss — not to find a “right answer” but to learn to argue, listen, and take part in dialogue. As a result, participants get a space to freely express their opinion, hear others, discuss the same story from different angles, and feel more confident in conversation. In May we watch: May 3 — “The Student” (dir. Kirill Serebrennikov, Russia, 2016) May 10 — “Billy Elliot” (dir. Stephen Daldry, UK, 2000) May 31 — “The 400 Blows” (dir. François Truffaut, France, 1959) The film club is led by film historian and Forbes contributor Aleksandra Sidorova. Participation fee — 500 dinars Registration — via this link (https://tally.so/r/3yVD9g) Subscribe to the club channel here (https://t.me/+jS_aWVBMI9RjNWFi) Register without fuss in KiddoDu or via direct message to the organizer: https://t.me/maria_kozachina

Besides watching films together, these most often include follow up discussions. The value of such meetings lies in live communication — the opportunity to express one’s opinion, be heard, learn to articulate thoughts, and listen to others. Film clubs help children find like-minded peers and develop emotional intelligence and a sense of belonging to a community.
