May 16 — Daugavgriva. Our legendary route. A compact hotspot where several excellent habitats meet — meadow, reed, flooded meadow, grove, woodland pond and the sea. In May you can find dozens of species in a day. How the walk goes The walk is led by guide Alexander Borzenko (that’s me). I provide binoculars for anyone who doesn’t have them. We try to find as many bird species as possible, observe their behavior, learn to identify them by appearance and calls, and learn about their life and habits. We keep a list and photograph birds — then send reports to participants. At the end of the walk there is a picnic with a grill! Price, time and registration: The walk costs 30 EUR per adult, and 50 EUR for an adult with a child. All walks start at 08:00, duration 3–4 hours. If you don’t have binoculars — we will lend them!
