We continue studying the birds of Montenegro! On Sunday, 17 May at 09:00 (yes — birds are active before the heat!) we will walk along the coast between Petrovac and Buljarica. Our route will pass through forest and coastal reedbeds by the sea. We will encounter wetland birds (gulls, herons, ducks, coots) and woodland birds (bee-eaters, wagtails, swallows, buzzards, shrikes). We will observe birds with binoculars and listen to their calls. The walk leader — ornithologist Viktor Slavgorodsky — will tell about the species encountered and show identification features in the field guide to distinguish similar species from each other. Total duration of the walk is 2 hours. Bring water, a hat and, if possible, binoculars (we have a few to share)! Meet at the roundabout by the Petrovac bus station. Cost of the walk is €10 per participant (transfer to the meeting point not included).
