In fairy tales you can kiss a frog and get a prince — but few know where his castle is 😎. It really exists! Žabljak Crnojevića is a medieval fortress hidden among streams. “Žabljak” means a place where frogs live; the Crnojevićs were a Montenegrin dynasty from the 14th–17th centuries, so the fortress is like a capital of a wetland realm. 🐸 We invite you on a walk with biologists to the fortress to enjoy stunning views of Skadar Lake, Gornje Malo Blato and the Zeta valley — places where Montenegro’s early history began. We will look at early spring flowers among the ruins, watch cormorants and listen for green woodpeckers. Catch the spring sun from the highest local vantage point! 👉 Sun 13:00 Duration about 2–2.5 hours The walk will be led by biologists Maria Krasheninnikova and Anna Loseva.
