Art Studio at Clarity with Nastya Varlamova! π¨ What if drawing is not only about how to draw correctly, but about the ability to see, invent and express your ideas? In the Art Studio, children will develop creativity, imagination and their own artistic language together with a practicing artist-illustrator. Anastasia Varlamova is an artist, illustrator and art educator with British art education (University of Hertfordshire, Central Saint Martins). She taught drawing, painting and design to children and teenagers at the British Higher School of Design, conducts workshops in schools in Portugal and has worked as a professional artist and illustrator for over 10 years. In the studio we will try different artistic techniques and materials, experiment with color, form and composition, create collages and painted works, draw comics and each other from life, work in very large and very small formats β and learn to turn our own ideas into real art works without the fear of doing something "wrong". Some classes will be dedicated to generating creative ideas: we will look for inspiration around us, collect visual finds, observe, ask questions, explore shapes and even invent our own names for colors. Each child will gradually develop their own creative portfolio β a collection of works that will grow with them. And also β a personal sketchbook: a place for sketches, ideas, interesting finds and experiments during the week that can then be shared and discussed with other kids.
