She has no friends, and her only solace is drawing. Due to frail health Anna is sent for the summer to a small town on Hokkaido. There she meets Marnie — a girl who lives in a large rich house on the tidal flats. Gradually they become good friends. After the screening — an open discussion where we will consider the key aspects of the film.
