May 9, 11:00–12:00 May 10, 11:00–12:00 Location: MAAT Fee: €20 + museum ticket (adult only) This weekend I invite moms (or dads!) with children aged 5–7 for clay play. What to expect? ❤️ I will tell a bit about Anna Maria Maiolino (https://t.me/caramba_kids/363): her story, values and artistic practice. 💛 We will play directly in the exhibition (https://maat.pt/pt/event/anna-maria-maiolino-terra-poetica): starting with simple oppositions (light–dark, smooth–rough), then moving to more complex and ambiguous categories — for example, looking for what makes us want to dance or protest. 💚 This will help us understand (or rather feel) how material can express thoughts, ideas and emotions, and to see the world through another person's eyes and develop tolerance for different viewpoints. 🩵 Then we will go to the garden❄️ where I will show simple clay techniques and suggest several creative tasks from contemporary art schools and institutes. ❄️If it rains, we will stay inside the museum space and replace clay with other malleable materials — it will still be great. more «clay play and ceramics» →A process-focused approach where children build their own little worlds out of clay or create together, exploring transformations and interacting through what they make. Along the way, they express what matters to them — emotions, interests, and lived experiences. Through this hands-on play, feelings that may be difficult to put into words take shape, becoming something the child can gently take control of.
